Surrey County Council (SCC) has received outline planning permission for its development of new, high quality, affordable extra care housing on the site of the former Bentley Day Centre on The Horseshoe in Banstead.
The new development will offer self-contained apartments designed for older people, in a setting where care and support can be delivered by an on-site provider.
The community engagement exercise supported by this website commenced in October 2022 and ended in November 2022. You can watch the recordings of our consultation events for residents here. All feedback received during our consultation was included in a Statement of Community Involvement that was submitted as part of the planning application.
The outline planning application was approved subject to conditions on 27 September 2023 and details of the approved scheme can be found here.
